Ohio & OELPA Assessments
The Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA) is the state summative test used to determine an English learner’s proficiency level and to exit from the English language program. The OELPA is aligned to the K-12 English Language Proficiency Standards and is used to meet the federal requirement of an annual assessment of English proficiency measuring listening, speaking, reading and writing.
ESL teachers can set reaching expectations for their English Language Learning students, accelerate English language acquisition, and ensure equity for all multilingual learners.
The English Language Profciency Standards, developed for grades K, 1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 highlight and amplify the critical language, knowledge about language, and skills using language that are in college-and career-ready standards and that are necessary for English language learners to be successful in schools.
Summit K12 Language Development is evidence-based, aligns with OELPA and The Common Core.
Ensure your K–12 English learners are making steady progress toward their English Language Proficiency Growth Goals throughout the year and are prepared for Fall and Spring testing with the Connect to Literacy™ online Review and Readiness program.
